Alessandra Agueci

Alessandra is originally from Rome, and moved to England many years ago to pursue her training in psychotherapy. She is really passionate about promoting independence, with a powerful emotional intuition and accurate insights, she helps each individual to reach their full potential. She has spent her life studying psychology first then psychotherapy, making her an expert in the field.

Highly empathic and respectful, she has been able to meet a variety of client needs, with great outcomes. Nothing feels too overwhelming as her life outlook is well suited to this profession. She loves every aspect of her job.

- MIDDLESEX University of London 2018 - present MSc in contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy

- METANOIA INSTITUTE 2016 - 2020 Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy (a 5 year QAA level 7 qualification).

- LA SAPIENZA University of Rome 2011 - 2014 BSc in Psychology of developing and wellbeing.

Alessandra also holds other certificates in subjects like: “Foundation of Modern Psychology” and “Psychology of Mental Health” from Birkbeck University. Also “Cultural diversity”, “Dealing with shame”, “Dealing with trauma”, “Suicidal Thoughts” and many more.

Alessandra is a Full Clinical Psychotherapist Member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), MBPsS member of BPS (British Psychology Society) and also has The Metanoia Institute Membership.

She has been working in various institutional settings as well as offering private therapy. In the initial 5 years of her career she had been offering one to one counselling through Crossroad Counselling and NHS services. During her Mental Health Familiarisation Placement at Islington Crisis House she gained experience in planning short-term crisis intervention and conducting assessments by shadowing key workers and working closely with psychiatrists and mental health nurses. She has completed more than 600 hours supervised counselling practice working across different NHS settings.

She is well-prepared to offer comprehensive support services to clients from a variety of backgrounds with a wide range of needs.
