It seems to me that the good life is not any fixed state. It is not, in my estimation, a state of virtue, or contentment, or nirvana, or happiness. It is not a condition in which the individual is adjusted, fulfilled,or actualised…. The good life is a process, not a state of being…It is a direction, not a destination.

Alessandra’s practice takes a Person Centred approach - this means that you are at the centre of the work. It values your individuality and she will respond to your unique needs, with the ultimate aim of helping you to empower your full potential together with the underpinning need of meaningful relationships.
Within the humanistic approach people experience a process which leads to therapeutic growth, including greater self-understanding, self-awareness, changes in behaviour, new ways of coping, and improved wellbeing, which opens the path towards becoming an independent person with autonomy and agency and away from feeling inadequate. The therapeutic relationship will allow your inner voice to be expressed, and it will release you from anxiety, social judgement, self-criticism, fear of not being accepted.
Firstly you should ensure that you only go to see a therapist who is fully qualified and experienced, and registered and accredited with a professional body (UKCP or BACP).
In the initial session you can generally establish whether the service offered is the right fit for you. Following you can contract a more convenient time and day, which might be weekly or fortnightly. Once everything is in place you set up goals upon your expectations from therapy.
The therapeutic change occurs approximately three months after the beginning of therapy, however this is only an indicative period. There is not a time limit for therapy, rather it is flexible and creative following your own personal needs.
Alessandra firmly believe that talking therapy should be accessible to all and each person should possibly benefit from it.
Sessions are £65 and last 50 minutes. The initial session is free of charge, however face to face sessions are also available. A limited number of free or reduced fee slots are available for those who genuinely cannot afford to pay for counselling.
Free initial consultation, with no further obligation.Contact
